David began racing shifter karts in 2001 in the SKUSA and IKF series around NorCal culminating in the 2004 track championship in Formula 80 Masters. In 2006 he decided to retire the kart and make the move to the added safety of full size cars. He participated in many autocrosses and track days in his daily-driver E36 M3 and in 2011 started work on the build of a dedicated track car – an E36 sedan.
The E36 sedan donor car came from the east coast with a built, high-compression 2.8L engine and some other requisite parts for a race car. David promptly stripped the interior, had EDGE reinforce the unibody, and shipped the car of to TC Designs for a GTS cage. In 2012 you’ll find him and the E36 sedan at NorCal tracks testing and preparing for GTS racing in 2013.
